The big cleaning supply check-list
 
It’s easy to become overwhelmed with the vast array of cleaning products available and even more so if you see any late night infomercials selling fancy new cleaning products that promise to revolutionise your life! The truth is that it’s not so much what cleaning products you have but what you do with them that counts. That said there are a few essentials that you should have to hand that will allow you to complete almost every cleaning job in your home. You don’t need to spend a lot, apart from the big items like a vacuum cleaner you should be able to fully stock your cleaning cupboard and still have change from £20
 
The big items

• Vacuum cleaner
• Mop & Bucket
• Broom

 
Carpet Cleaners, Steam mops and vacuum window cleaners have a place but they are far from essential.
 
Fabrics

• Scrubbing sponges
• Microfibre cloths
• Extendible duster
• Old toothbrush
• Drying materials (old towels and sheets are ideal)
• Toilet brush
• Newspaper (for cleaning windows)

 
Liquids

• All-purpose cleaner (like flash liquid)
• Washing up liquid
• Cream cleaner
• Stainless steel cleaner (if you have stainless steel appliances) 
• Bleach
• Glass Cleaner
• Spray polish (like Mr Sheen)

 
Specialist

• Oven Cleaner
• Sink & drain un-blocker
• Air freshener
• Wax Polish
•
